The Residency Model
We don’t do 'periods' or 'bells.' Blue Horizon Studio operates on a monthly cycle of Sprints and Decompressions.
A Different Kind of Rhythm
Morning Mastery: Students dedicate their mornings to high-density core curriculum. This is a time for deep focus and personalized academic growth, ensuring every learner hits their marks in literacy, math, and logic.
The Residency Model: Our afternoons are transformed by Expert-Residents—specialized mentors who bring real-world intensives to the studio. While our current term features a Science Expert-in-Residence, future residencies will pivot to the Humanities, Design, and beyond.
High-Freedom Expression: We dedicate our afternoons to passion projects, maker space exploration, and outside time. Whether it’s through Fine Arts or collaborative Play, we are building balanced, creative leaders who know how to apply their knowledge in the real world.

Meet the Founder
Blue Horizon Studio is led by a veteran educator with 18 years of classroom experience specializing in middle school science. With a degree in Biology, a Secondary Teaching Credential, an Administrative Credential, and a Master’s in School Administration, I bring a deep understanding of both high-level pedagogy and the structural mechanics of education.
Why Blue Horizon Studio? After years of navigating the traditional school system, I realized that intellectual rigor shouldn't be gated by reading levels or rigid silos. I built Blue Horizon Studio to be a "Safe Harbor" for students who are ready to think deeply—a space where evidence-based reasoning meets creative expression.
Beyond the Studio When I’m not designing "Sprints" for the residency model, you’ll find me in Manteca, likely with my two cats, Lumos and Bug, or deep in a philosophy book. I believe that to teach curiosity, one must remain a student of the world.
